Installation Steps
Step 01
Download the Installer
Download the latest version of the NexionTools installer from your portal after signing in. Choose the version that matches your Revit® installation year.
- 1Visit the Downloads page and locate the tool you want to install
- 2Check the supported Revit® versions listed on the download card
- 3Click the Download button to save the installer (.exe) file
- 4Note the download location - you'll need it in the next step
Step 02
Run the Installer
Run the downloaded installer with administrator privileges. The installer will guide you through the setup process.
- 1Locate the downloaded .exe file in your Downloads folder
- 2Right-click the file and select "Run as administrator"
- 3If prompted by Windows Defender, click "More info" then "Run anyway"
- 4Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation
- 5Choose your Revit® version when prompted
Step 03
Load in Revit®
Start Revit® and load the plugin. The tool will appear in the Add-ins tab of the Revit® ribbon.
- 1Close Revit® if it's currently running
- 2Start Revit® - the plugin loads automatically on startup
- 3Look for the NexionTools tab in the ribbon (or in Add-ins > External Tools)
- 4If the tab doesn't appear, see Troubleshooting below
- 5Click the tool icon to launch and verify installation
