Checking a model against a scan is done by eye, in section, one wall at a time. You cut through, look at whether the points sit on the wall face, form an opinion, and move on. It works, it is slow, and it produces a judgement rather than a record - which is awkward when the question is whether the as-built matches the model well enough to build on.
Open a view containing both the walls and columns you care about and the point cloud data covering them.
A confirmation dialog explains the three steps before anything runs - scan the clouds, analyse the deviations, apply the colours.
Every wall and every column in the view - architectural and structural - is matched against the overlapping scan points and colour-coded by what share of those points sit on the wrong side of the modelled face: green under about a third, yellow up to two thirds, red beyond that.
Openings are accounted for, so a door or window does not read as a deviation.
Reset Heatmap restores the original appearance when you are done.
Model-versus-scan agreement is assessed wall by wall in section, and the result is an opinion.
The whole view is colour-coded by how well each element agrees with the scan, so the disagreements find you.
