Modelling ceilings is repetitive in the least interesting way. Sketch a boundary that matches the room you already drew, set a height, pick a type, move to the next room. Do it eighty times on a floor plate and you will have made at least one boundary that does not match its room, which somebody finds later in a reflected ceiling plan.
Open the floor plan for the level you want and run Model Ceilings.
Every room visible in that plan appears in a list with its number, name and area - unplaced rooms, zero-area rooms and rooms belonging to another level are filtered out automatically. A room hidden or cropped out of the view will not be listed either.
Set a default ceiling height in metres - it starts at 2.60 and accepts anything from 0 to 20 - and a ceiling type once. Ceiling families named as roofs or soffits are excluded from the list so you are choosing from real ceiling types.
Override the height on individual rooms by typing into the row - custom values are marked so you can see which ones differ from the default.
Tick the rooms you want and the tool creates one ceiling per room, using the room boundary as the sketch. Rooms that already have a ceiling near the target height are skipped and reported, so re-running after a partial pass does not double up. The whole run is one undo entry, and if nothing is created there is no phantom entry left behind.
The summary reports how many rooms were selected, created, skipped and failed, along with the ceiling thickness.
